The area is becoming more popular year on year for hikers and in recent years with bikers (both local and international). Local roads, which are in excellent condition, often feature in the annual Vuelta de Espana cycle race. Although it may give the sensation of rural isolation the village is a short 20-30 minutes from the well-known market towns of Cocentaina and Alcoy. More importantly it is only 20 minutes away from a motorway junction on the major A7 road link between Alicante and Valencia and onto Barcelona and the French border.
