Location and access
Cyprus has two international airports, Larnaca to the north and Paphos to the south of the island, both are approximately 4hr flying time from the U.K. The modern motorways linking the larger Towns are excellent and petrol costs roughly half of its UK equivalent price. Public transport is also cheap and efficient.
Paphos Airport is just 30 minutes away whilst both Paphos and Coral Bay are just a fifteen minute drive.
About the town
The complex is just a short walk from the beautiful village of Chlorakas which offers a small number of tavernas and shop and of course, Paphos Airport, which is soon to undergo major redevelopment to improve its facilities, is only 30 minutes drive.
The town of Paphos is within easy driving distance for shopping and eating out, as are the beaches and the nearest golf course is 20 minutes drive away.
Cyprus is situated in the eastern corner of the Mediterranean at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa. The third largest of all the Mediterranean Islands, ranking in size after Sicily and Sardinia, it’s area is 9,251 square kilometers, stretching 240 km from West to East and 96 km from North to South with a permanent population of approximately 700,000 people.
Cyprus boasts a unique climate, mild winters and hot dry summers. The average daytime temperature in winter is around 12 -15°c and 26 - 32°c in summer. Considered to have one of the most agreeable climates in the region, Cyprus enjoys approx. 340 sunny days a year and during the six months of summer, the sun shines for an average of 11 hours a day, ideal for sailing, hiking, diving and golf.
While snow is very rare on the central plain and coast, snowfall occurs every year between December and April in areas with an altitude exceeding 1000m.
The higher slopes of the Troodos mountain range provide good skiing conditions for about 6 weeks a year.
Paphos in the Southwest area of Cyprus is shielded by the Troodos mountains and enjoys short mild winters. It is acknowledged as having the finest climate on the island with a winter daytime temperature averaging 18C. Snow, frost and ice are unknown in Paphos.
