Turning to the right in the lounge there is a large dining room on the right and steps down on the left into a small hallway with shower room on the right and the kitchen straight ahead. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a door to the patio.
Going up the stairs from the lounge you enter a large hallway with two family sized bedrooms on the right (to the front of the house), a huge bathroom to the left and a further double bedroom straight ahead. The property has been beautifully reformed and with its high ceilings, beautiful andalucian tiles, feature wooden beams and lovely furnishings it is very welcoming. Walking outside from the kitchen you have a sunny private patio area with vine and steps leading down to a lower patio and this takes you to an enormous terrace with fantastic pool, BBQ area and stunning views over the hills and olive groves.
From the pool terrace there are steps up to a small terrace with a door leading into the self-contained apartment with open plan fitted kitchen/dining/sitting room with stairs up to two double bedrooms, private terrace and bathroom. This accommodation sleeps 6 people and is used for holiday rentals with bookings through to the end of the year; this would be transferred to the new owners on completion of the sale. The apartment comes fully furnished.
To complete this fantastic cortijo there is a paddock and storeroom at the pool side which could be used as a summer kitchen or changing room. If you want a piece of rural Spain, a superb property in an idyllic location look no further
The cortijo is in an ideal situation as it is only fifty minutes from Malaga Airport and 45 minutes from Granada Airport by road. It is an hour from Granada, and under two hours from both Sevilla and Cordoba, places that are well worth a visit, plus the Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical and Costa Almeria with their glorious beaches and vibrant night-life are all easily accessible by car. For a real bonus in the winter it's only one hour and a half from the snow slopes of the Sierra Nevada at Sol y Nieve.
The nearest town to the Cortijo is the small one of Villaneuva de Algaidas which offers sufficient shopping facilities for visitors and some good bars and restaurants. There's the beautiful and historic town of Antequerra which is a less than thirty minute drive away and also the ancient hilltop village of Iznajar with its castle dating from the 8th Century where there are spectacular views over a 32km long lake. This has safe bathing from its Valdearenas Beach area, and also water sports and fishing are available. There are some lovely lakeside walks for those who like to see more of the countryside.
Although a rural hideaway, it is easily accessible from the main motorway which runs from Malaga to Granada and provides a truly private and comfortable base from which you can discover the hidden beauty of Spain.
