Location
San Venanzo is a small hilltop town, surrounded by woods and hills, with panoramic views all round. It has its own comune (council offices) and it has an excellent range of shops and services, bars and restaurants. It also has a beautiful communal swimming pool with wonderful views. The cottage stands off a side lane at the beginning of the village. From San Venanzo the road drops down to Marsciano (approx 8 kms) where there is a full range of shops and services, including a hospital and railway station and from there there is fast access northwards on the E45 superstrada to Perugia (half an hour) or southwards to Todi (half an hour) and Rome (2 hours). Leaving the village in the other direction the road leads to Orvieto (approx 22 kms).
