The small citrus farming village with a population of around 2000 lies on the banks of the River Segura whose waters irrigate the whole of the Vega Baja. Just outside the town is an unusual neo-gothic church that was built at the beginning of the nineteenth century and is well worth a visit.
Within close driving distance you can enjoy a relaxing round of golf, spend a day soaking up the sun on one of the blue flag rated beaches, ride the log flumes at an aqua park or taste the delights of the local delicacies. The best beach nearby is undoubtedly Guardamar Del Segura where there is also an abundance of lovely restaurants and cafe bars.
