Yeroskipou is a popular coastal town just five kilometres to the east of Paphos. It has friendly ex-pat and local communities with an excellent range of facilities.

Yeroskipou, in Greek mythology, is the goddess Aphrodite's sacred gardens. Hence its name — "yeros" (ιερός, holy) and "kipou" (from κήπος, garden) — means "holy garden". Pilgrims used to travel through the holy gardens to Aphrodite's temple at Kouklia, a further twenty kilometres along the coast.

Today it is a popular destination due to its spectacular five-domed Byzantine church of Agia Paraskevi and for the production of Turkish Delight or "lokum".
