Languedoc-Roussillon information, France

Stretched along the Mediterranean and just a stones throw away from Spain is a place with yet another distinctive character, the region of Languedoc Rousillon. It is the largest wine producing area in Europe, and offers many fine wines to suit most palates. Its rich soil and abundant land, combined with that perfect Mediterranean weather, help to produce some of the best wines appreciated all over the world. Its cuisine is unmatched, for the distinctive French flavor with subtle Mediterranean undertones.

Properties are in high demand, and are more expensive near the coast than inland. Apartments and studios along the coast average 90,000€ - 110,000€, while villas are much higher but with higher rental prospects also. Compared to the prices at neighboring Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, properties in this region are very good bargains.
