Zaragoza information, Spain

Zaragoza In the northeastern part of central Spain can be found the beautiful and interesting province of Zaragoza. The province is surrounded by the Spanish provinces of Huesca, La Rioja, Teruel, Lerida, Soria, Tarragona and Navarre. Total land area of Zaragoza is at about 17,200 square kilometers. Across the 292 municipalities live some 900,000 people. About half of the municipalities have population that is just below 300.

One land feature of Zaragoza is that it has a very varied landscape. In the northern portion of the province can be found the Pyrenees foothill, home to the Yesa water reservoir where various water activities take place. Though there are no beach resorts in the Zaragoza, the fact does not deprive dwellers and tourists from enjoying water sports and fishing. The Yesa is very ideal for water skiing because the waters are very still.

Picturesque villages are catching everyone's attention in the Moncayo area. The beautiful landscape of the area has outstanding architecture, including the Tarazona-Mudejar structure and the Veruela Monastery.

As mentioned above, the few water bodies and lakes in the province are very much conducive and ideal for extreme water sports like rowing, skiing, sailing and different motorboat competitions. The peaceful and still waters are safe for rough water activities, not unlike in seas and beaches where waves are huge and very string.

The capital city also called Zaragoza is intercepting the river of Ebro, which is affluent to other rivers like Gallego and Huerva. The location of the city is a valley, where there are various types of observable landscapes like forest, mountains, desert and meadows. Zaragoza city used to be called the Kingdom of Aragon. Thus, it is the reason why demographics of the city's population is half consisting of Aragons.

The location of the city of Zaragoza is very much strategic. Its interceptive location makes it connected directly to serve as a mediating area between the important provinces of Valencia, Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona.

Prevailing temperature in the city is just like in the rest of the province. The climate is Mediterranean, meaning, summers are scorching hot, while winters can get really cold. Sunny days outpace rainy days in number, though overall average precipitation every year is just okay, enough to nourish the lush vegetation in the farmlands and plantations around. Rain is expected more during springtime, and comes as a symbolic blessing because summers are usually causing severe, though short-spanned, drought.

Industrial sector is the very main driver of Zaragoza economy. While the province also has numerous tourist spots and beautiful sceneries, the manufacturing industry is what gives in most of the provincial revenue. General Motors Corporation's Opel facility is located in Zaragoza. The aviation industry is also very much alive in the area.

Real estate industry is another potential source of future income for the province. That is because there are many property developers that are starting to recognize Zaragoza's promising real estate situation. With the accelerated progress and industrialization of the city and the whole province, many opportunities would open, including the potentials for great real estate asset investments.
