Valencia-Valencia information, Spain

One of the most thickly populated provinces in Spain is Valencia. Having a total head count of over 2.2 million as of the latest count, Valencia is an average-sized Spanish territory that has 265 towns or municipalities. The province is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea in the east and by other provinces around it, namely, Castellon, Albacete, Teruel, Alicante and Cuenca.

Because of its adjacency to the Mediterranean Sea, Valencia is surrounded by mountains and plains that contribute to make the prevailing climate ideal. Usually, summers in Valencia are dry. However, this condition has never been detrimental to provincial agriculture state. Various irrigation projects help provide water and nourishment to farmlands and plantations. All around the province, you would find different plantations for crops, including rice and oranges.

There are two major divisions of the land area of Valencia. First, the Valencia coastline is where tourists could find the best beach resorts in the province. In the areas could also be found the Huerta and Camp de Morvedre. These extensive plains are covered and planted with orange groves and orchard lands. The popular tourists centers of Sagunto and the numerous beaches in El Saler, El Perellonet and Pinedo are situated in the coastline.

The capital city also named Valencia is the centre of business transactions and trading. Valencia city is actually the third biggest Spanish city. It is also considered an industrial centre within Costa del Azahar.

Old Roman and Arabic architectures are very much evident at numerous structures and buildings in the city. Among those edifices are the Cathedral, the Gothic Basilica and the towers of Serrano and Quart. The United Nations has declared Valencia city as one of the numerous and important World Heritage Sites.

The city is also an education hub. Proof of it is the city's fostering of four major universities across the province. These are the Unibersidad Catolica de Valencia San Vicente Ferrer, the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, the Universitat de Valencia and the Unibersidad Cardenal Herrera. Many scholars and students from all parts of Spain come to study in one of these cities.

The construction industry is an important economic sector in the province. As of latest figures, construction of buildings and homes make up the bulk of a good pie of revenue for the provincial government. On top of that, the tourism industry is of course the top and major source of income. The beautiful and popular beach resorts in Valencia has made the province an ideal and highly visited destination for vacations.

With the booming construction industry, not left far behind is the rising real estate industry. Construction of residential and commercial establishments and structures are very much in demand and are highly rampant in the province. Somehow, the two industries are also inter-related with the string tourism sector of Valencia. The flocking of numerous tourists and travellers every year makes business opportunists and ventures swoon into Valencia. In the future, such trend is expected to further continue, making placement of real estate investments in the country highly ideal and recommendable.
