Because of its adjacency to the Mediterranean Sea, Valencia is surrounded by mountains and plains that contribute to make the prevailing climate ideal. Usually, summers in Valencia are dry. It is also considered an industrial centre within Costa del Azahar. Old Roman and Arabic architectures are very much evident at numerous structures and buildings in the city. Among those edifices are the Cathedral, the Gothic Basilica and the towers of Serrano and Quart. The United Nations has declared Valencia city as one of the numerous and important World Heritage Sites. The city is also an education hub. Proof of it is the city's fostering of four major universities across the province. These are the Unibersidad Catolica de Valencia San Vicente Ferrer, the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, the Universitat de Valencia and the Unibersidad Cardenal Herrera. Many scholars and students from all parts of Spain come to study in one of these cities. The construction industry is an important economic sector in the province. As of latest figures, construction of buildings and homes make up the bulk of a good pie of revenue for the provincial government. On top of that, the tourism industry is of course the top and major source of income. The beautiful and popular beach resorts in Valencia has made the province an ideal and highly visited destination for vacations. With the booming construction industry, not left far behind is the rising real estate industry. Construction of residential and commercial establishments and structures are very much in demand and are highly rampant in the province. Somehow, the two industries are also inter-related with the string tourism sector of Valencia. The flocking of numerous tourists and travellers every year makes business opportunists and ventures swoon into Valencia.
