As of the latest count, total population in the province stands at just a little over 90,000. As such, Soria is not only the least populous provinces in Spain. It also holds the record for having the lowest headcount in all the municipalities in the whole of the European Union, the 27-bloc nation group where Spain is an active member. Interestingly, the total land area is not small but is average sized. Soria has just about 183 municipalities, half of which are hamlets that have just under 100 inhabitants. Agriculture is the thriving industry in the area, which is highly conducive for growing cereal. Cuenca del Pozo is also a good place for pine forests. There are pine villages around the area, which is characterized by cool temperature. The capital city of Soria has distinct architectural features. There are numerous churches that can be found in the city. Tourists simply adore and admire such structures. Soria city has walls that are so distinct and are part of the history of the old civilizations that thrived in the province. Such walls served as protection against conquerors in the past. Among the most popular tourist spots and sceneries in the city of Soria are the Plateresque Concatedral de San Pedro, which is a very old Roman Cathilic church. Notable are the features and designs of the Sto. Domingo church and the cloister ruins of the San Juan de Duero. The ruins of the old towns in Numantia are also worth checking out. Real estate industry in the province is still at its young stage, although property investors and developers clearly see the potential of asset investments in Soria.
