Located in the northeast side of the peninsula of Iberia in Spain can be found the province of Navarra. The province, which is also an autonomous region, is surrounded by Aragon in the east, by the Basque Country in the west and by the nearby country of France in the north. Navarra, like all other autonomous communities in the country is governed by its own seat of power. The province is very much a part of Spain, but the decentralized structure of the government makes the province independent. Basic government services like social services, health, urban development, employment, environment protection, education and housing are provided solely by the regional government. Navarra is comprised if 272 municipalities that have a combined population of more than 600,000. The prevailing climate in the whole of the province is cold and winters are usually characterized by rain. Throughout the rest of the year, the overall weather is mild. The province is a living mixture of Mediterranean influence and of ancient or old tradition. Much of the province’s history and overall story is centered and involving the city of Enbro, is a good site of the olive trees, wheat, wine and vegetables. Navarra was included in the territories controlled and owned by the Roman Empire in the past. During the Middle Ages, the province became a taifa or city of the Muslim-led and dominated Rudela. Navarra’s geographic location is also pretty interesting. Who would have known that this Spanish city in the countryside would fall or face its deluge in contrast to other Spanish government? The sights and pretty sites in the Alpine valleys as well as to the Bardenas Reales made it possible. Because of the present of numerous rivers and other water bodies in the province, it is natural and expected that the activities like fishing and agriculture are very well facilitated and conducted in the country. The capital city of Pamplona is located at the foot of a hill located underneath mountain ranges and along the Arga River banks. Many impressive and popular landmarks can be found in the city. The Cathedral, San Cernin’s Gothic Church, San Lorenzo church, San Fermin Chapel and the San Nicolas Church of are among the tourist-attractive centers in the country and other nearby centers. Real estate industry is very much alive and active in the area. Like in all other provinces in the country, expect that there would be government regulation when you are doing real estate investments. That could be major turn off but could be a good challenge. Prices of assets in the Navarra are not too significant. Thus, budget conscious and wise property investors would enjoy a shopping spree of land and properties. In the near future, the housing industry, like in most other Spanish provinces, would be highly valuated. Thus, if you find some properties in the area, be sure to catch the opportunity at once. « Return to Navarra |
