In the northern part of Spain can be found a province that is known for abundant production of wine. La Rioja has been known as a haven for wine drinkers because the local wine industry is truly proliferating and alive in the area. Rioja DOCa wines are the most popular among the wine products in the area. La Rioja is in the world map of exporters for its wine products that are shipped not just all across the country but also throughout the rest of Europe, the United States and other wine enthusiast countries. Aside of course from the numerous vineyards that can be found in the province, local agriculture is also known to produce significant amount of dryland farming crops like barley, grape and wheat. The animal husbandry sector is also very much active especially the sheep raising and breeding. Capital city is called Logroņo, which has almost half of the total population of La Rioja. Overall, the province is home to some 300,000 people, half of whom are distributed across all 174 municipalities that can be found in the province. Aside from Logroņo, there are four other major and significant cities that are within the province, namely, Alfaro, Haro, Calahorra and Arnedo. Other source of income for the province is the active mining sector for important elements and minerals like silicon dioxide and gypsum. There are also other elements, metals and resources that can be mined at mining facilities in the province, but the two identified are so far showing strengths and abundance. Local tourism industry is not very active and popular when compared to other provinces and centers in the country. However, experts argue that it does not mean that real estate industry is not very attractive. Property developers see the province as an ideal spot where many residential and commercial centers could be established. The rise of various industries would make taking properties in La Rioja lucrative. There are too many opportunities that await people and property investors. The climate prevailing across the whole of the country would be ideal for just about anyone. Because the territory is near the Mediterranean Sea, expect that the overall and influencing climate and weather is temperate or very much Mediterranean. In the province, it is noteworthy that there are hotter summers and colder winters. Average annual rainfall is just normal, neither too much not too little. Average annual temperature range is between 11 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. Not much historical landmarks can be found. But for sure, the modern structures and the sight of farms and vineyards would be truly refreshing.
