Ibiza information, Spain

Ibiza Included in the Balearic Islands across the Mediterranean Sea are two pine-covered islands, namely Formentera and the probably the most popular tourist spot in Spain, the island of Ibiza. Ibiza started to become a world-renowned place in the 1960s, when the ‘hippies’ started flocking to the island to have fun. Since then, people from all generations have toured to the island for exquisite fun and excitement.

There are so many wonderful things and features about Ibiza. For one, the nightlife is truly lively and exciting. Young people come to Ibiza especially during the summer season, which is scorching hot during the months of June to September. During summer, prevailing temperature in Ibiza averages at about 30 degrees Celsius or about 60 degrees Fahrenheit. During the season, the climate is so hot and there is very little to occasional rain. Thus, outdoor recreation is so ideal.

The island is said to be the origin or breeding ground for house and trance types of music, which are very ideal for clubbing and partying. The nightlife in the island is the most lively, colorful and vibrant all over the world. Indeed, the night hangouts are what make Ibiza a popular tourist destination that it is today. During such night parties, people get together to reunite with friends and acquaintances. There are new friends to meet and different races of people to interact with. The night is always young in Ibiza.

As a matter of fact, Ibiza has started a party culture of its own. Clubbers in the island are developing a habit of taking naps during the early evening, so that waking up before midnight would be possible. An hour before midnight until dawn is when the party or nightlife officially starts. During those hours, people really have fun, drinking booze, smoking around and dancing to the beat of popular house and trance music. As an added attraction, famous and professional disc-jockeys from all around the world come to Ibiza during summers so they could mix music and provide clubbing background to the growing number of crowds that are dancing the night away.

During daytime, the face of Ibiza changes. From the sober appearance from the parties in the night, Mediterranean culture suddenly surfaces especially if you would take a walk away from the coasts to the center of the island. As a matter of fact, most parts of Ibiza, especially those containing old structures and edifices were declared by the United Nations as World Heritage Sites.

However, after the summertime, rain starts falling more often and tourists start flocking away from the island. This is the time to be serene for the local inhabitants. You would be surprised at how Ibiza transforms from a global clubbing zone during summer into a serene and very quiet island all year round. Buying real estate in the island is very much recommended for retirees and property aficionados. Constructing a rest house in the island would surely payoff because the surroundings is really conducive for relaxation and sight-seeing.
