Huesca is very well known for its various old churches that herald and indicate the rich Spanish architecture. Among those edifices are the Huesca Cathedral, which is a Gothic style church structure. The edifice was put up in 1273 in a site that used to be a mosque, according to hearsays. Church of St. Peter is a bit older, having been constructed from about 1100 and 1241. Church of St. Lawrence, of course, is highly commended aside from the fact that it was erected in the 17th century. About 20% of the province’s inhabitants live in the city. Towns of Jaca, Benabarre, Fraga, Monxon and Ayerbe are historically popular among tourists that visit the province. Huesca is not the most popular tourist destination in all of the country, but there are enough reasons why visitors should consider getting to the land.
