Costa del Sol information, Spain

At the heart of southern Spain is a region that is well known in the whole of the continent as a haven for many recreational and leisure outdoor activities. Costa del Sol is consisting of 101 towns and municipalities that cover some areas of the provinces of Andalusia, Malaga and Cadiz. The name Costa del Sol is a Spanish name that when translated to English means ‘Sunshine or Sunny Coast’. The region used to be made of communities and small villages that are into fishing. The prevailing climate in the region is tropical to sub-tropical, of course being adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. That is one factor why outdoor activities and physical tasks are very much ideal in the region. Almost all tourists also make sure to do physical and recreational hobbies or even extreme sports in the many tourist centers of Costa del Sol.
