Barcelona information, Spain

Barcelona In 1992, Barcelona had the honour to host the Olympic Games. After that major and grand sports event, the city has never been the same again. The tourism industry has been rising constantly and the valuation of real estate properties in the area has significantly jumped. Now, Barcelona is one of the most expensive cities in the whole of Spain in terms of real estate and property valuation.

Barcelona is the capital city of the Spanish region of Catalonia. The city is geographically located along the northeastern section of the country. Barcelona is currently the second biggest urban centre or city in Spain. On top of that, the area is well known and is popular as having a commercial and cultural life comparable to the famous and equally huge European cities.

The borders of Catalonia are adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and to France. Thus, you can easily reach Barcelona from those offshore points. Likewise, it would also be convenient to go elsewhere within and outside the country if you would be coming from the city.

Like most areas in Spain, the prevailing climate and weather condition in the city is very much pleasant and ideal throughout most of the year. Experts advise tourists and visitors to schedule their Barcelona tours between the months of May and July. During these months, the city is neither cold nor hot, so it is perfect to roam around and tour the many scenic spots without worrying about rain, hail or too scorching heat of the sun. The month of September is also a favourable month to get to the city.

The prevailing culture within Barcelona is very much influenced by the dominance of the Roman Catholic religion. Like most areas are regions of Spain, there are numerous festivities and merry-making. During the month of September, the feast of Our Lady of Mercy is commemorated with too extravagant festivities. Other widely celebrated feasts are those of San Jorge on Aprils, the Barcelona folklore and the Visperas de San Juan, which coincides with the universal feast day of Saint John the Baptist in June.

Popular among numerous tourists are the various and many museums and monuments within the city. Barcelona is also rich in historical facts and values. These historical sites are usually frequented by tourists and excursionists, both from within the country and from abroad.

These and more reasons make real estate investment in Barcelona worthwhile and relatively more expensive. Like in many other in-demand real estate centres, taking property investments in the city would be better and safer if proper and appropriate research and analysis would be put in place. Real estate experts and investors, however, assert that there is no need for further study when one is considering buying properties in Barcelona.

For sure, owning a property, be it residential or commercial, in Barcelona would be a rightful and significant investment in itself. There are many other good sites for real estate assets around Spain, but in Barcelona, one can simply find and secure the best among the rest.
