Albacete information, Spain

Albacete Albacete is considered as one of the obscure cities of Spain. The city is the urban centre or capital of the Castilla La-Mancha region. Albacete is located to the southeast of the popular city of Madrid, making it one of the most accessible and geographically strategic cities of the Spanish nation. As a city, the name Albacete never had a Spanish root unlike other cities. As a matter of fact, the word 'Albacete' was derived from the Arabic word 'Al-Basit' that means 'simple'. And simple Albacete surely is. The city and the entire province of the same name is characterized by lack of complexities in its geographic features.

Unlike other cities and provinces in the entire country of Spain, Albacete could not boast of any mountain terrain of significant water body. That is because the city is located at the centre region of the country. There are a few hills that can be located within Albacete, and that is about it.

Albacete is also lacking significant historical contributions to the country. Thus, it is no wonder that the city is not as popular compared to other major Spanish cities. As a matter of fact, the tourism industry of Albacete is also very much inferior. The city and entire province does not rely on tourism volume for significant revenues.

One major contribution Albacete may have to the entire nation of Spain is its being the center of studies and academic affairs in the country. It is projected that there are about 9,000 to 10,000 students in Albacete. There are also a number of significant schools and universities operating and enlightening students within the province. Thus, Albacete is one of the most active and crowded academic centres not just in Spain but also of the whole European region.

Despite its lack of major tourists spots and destinations, many people are still opting to visit the city. That is because one would surely be curious about the wonders of the cities Museo de Albacete and the new cathedral. The conservatism and Catholic religion loyalty of the Spanish race is very much evident and practiced in the city and province, just like anywhere across the country.

As far as the manufacturing sector is concerned, Albacete has the potential to become the manufacturing center of Spain. Aside from its ideal and strategic geographical location and easier accessibility from all points of the country, Albacete's local government is very much supportive of any manufacturing initiative. That is why when EADS, a Franco-Belgian aerospace group, decided to establish a new business called Eurocopter, the city and province was the first and logical choice.

If you are considering buying real estate assets within the city, you should also know about the prevailing climate in the city. Peak average temperature in the city could reach up to 25°C during the months of July and August. Temperature would start to drop during the months of November up to March, and then climate would begin to heat up once again beginning April. The average raindrop is normal but not too ideal for numerous crops.
